Equine assisted therapy

our herd

Our wonderful ponies and horses are trained and mindfully hand-picked for their individual strengths and experience, as well as their kind and patient nature.

Willow

Sunrise

Sunrise

Willow is our resident support pony for the rest of the herd. She came to me 8 years ago with a very important job of being a healing companion for one of our other herd members, Flash, who was suffering some significant trauma. She did an excellent job and they are still inseparable today. Willow now supports our entire family, humans, and horses included, with her soft and gentle nature paired with just the right amount of feist and attitude. While she is small in size, she is an enormous part of our team

Willow resides at our Hindmarsh Island location

Sunrise

Sunrise

Sunrise

Sunrise is a beautiful little welsh pony who is now entering her senior years. She has spent most of her life living it up upon the rolling hills of Hindmarsh Valley, raising very special babies and eating her favourite snack of carrots. She is strong and independent with a soft side filled with inquisitiveness and gentle kindness. She is wonderful and supportive with children and adults alike. We can't wait for you to get to know her!

Flicka

Sunrise

Heiress

A Victorian Mountain Brumby.

Flicka has a story that I'm sure would bring tears to us all. We don't know her full story but  being born free on the mountains she will always be a free spirit.

She is a Strong, caring and loyal companion to her friends, cautious of those she does not know yet curious and wanting to learn trust.

She shows great value when working with in her own environment with our neurodivergent clients.

Heiress

Heiress as her name beholds is a true sovereign she guide the lost on their journey.   She gives her all to her babies and to her humans alike.

A steadfast, compassionate and loyal mare that does not judge anyone.

Flash

Heiress

Forest

Flash’s story is far too long to fit into a short description, he is the first horse I ever owned, my heart horse and the one who drove me to learn and never stop learning, to read horses and understand them as intricate sentient beings. He is a truly sensitive soul who has suffered some significant traumas throughout his long and varied lifetime. He has taught me patience, resilience and that with the right support and communication, no matter the “damage” growth is possible and there is a light at the end of every tunnel. Now, in his 20’s, Flash is ready to share his wisdom with others, he is social, loving and an excellent indicator and representation of nervous system regulation and dysregulation.

Forest

Heiress

Forest

In training
Forest had a tough start to life, he was born with a tendon injury which limited his mobility in his early months, he then devastatingly lost his mum at a very young age. This left him needing to be hand raised, thankfully he made friends with the other foals and loved his human company. Forest is the type to stop and smell the flowers, inquisitive of everything and always looking for interaction and connection. He is curious, gentle, clever and a little quirky. At just three years old, Forest is showing wonderful potential and will join the herd officially when he is a little older.

OUR OTHER NON THERAPY BREEDING HERD

PEN-NANT STUD

The farm is also a working horse stud breeding beautiful Welsh Cobs. In springtime you may have the pleasure of seeing new baby foals.
